When artwork is created they are done with fonts that are installed on your local computer. If the font is a standard one like Arial this is usually not a problem. An issue can arise however when the font is non standard and it does not exist on another computer. In this instance the computer without a font is unable to read the font correctly and the artwork will not resemble the original document.
